What differences are there among the four types of e-mail?
e-Questionnaire also integrates a powerful mass mailing function. Its interface enables you to easily create multilingual e-mails by integrating merge fields relating to your respondents (surname, forename, etc.).
e-Questionnaire offers you four types of e-mails corresponding to major steps in your survey, namely
- the recruitment mail for asking a respondent to participate in a survey
- the reminder e-mail for reminding an already recruited respondent to participate in a survey
- the follow-up e-mail to remind him to complete an questionnaire already opened but not yet completed
- the “thank you” e-mail to thank him for his participation
A language and date of dispatch can also be assigned to each e-mail.
When are “thank you” mails sent?
A “thank you” mail is sent automatically, when the respondent has reached the end of the questionnaire and has replied to at least one question.
What is a panel questionnaire ?
A panel questionnaire is an open questionnaire devoted to the collection of information concerning the respondent (in the context of a subscription to a newsletter on your website, for example). By means of this questionnaire, you will get an e-mail, as well as a multitude of information that will be useful to you for “profiling” your correspondent (for example the socio-economic category or SEC). You can then create a panel of respondents corresponding to certain criteria (for example all higher SEC respondents) and use this panel for a direct marketing operation or for distributing a new survey.
To create a panel questionnaire, choose “Panel” in the questionnaire properties. A “Transfer” button then appears under the “Questionnaire” tab. The transfer consists in using the replies in a questionnaire to fill in the corresponding information on the respondent. This section enables you to adjust the correspondence between your questionnaire and the respondents’ database (for example, the reply to the question “What is your telephone number?” will be stored in the “Telephone” field in the respondents database).
I can only see the first 15 respondents. Why?
You have our Discovery trial edition limited to 15 respondents. This trial offer will enable you to distribute your survey to 15 respondents and to display the first replies to a survey.
Nevertheless, all the respondents whom you will have entered as well as all the connected replies, physically exist in e-Questionnaire, but are not visible to the holder of a Discovery licence. In developing your licence to become a commercial edition (professional or corporate), this information becomes automatically available.
How to automaticaly trigger an ongoing survey ?
Thanks to e-Questionnaire, you can create an ongoing survey, which will automatically be triggered by your system at set times. Such a time can, for example, be that where your web surfer will validate his subscription to a newsletter. To trigger an automatic invitation, all that is needed is to insert a code line into your web page (possibly ask your webmaster if you have no HTML knowledge)

It is preferable to contact us, before implementing this type of survey in order to ensure its correct application.
What is the library ?
The library is a place for the storage of questionnaire components (pages, questions, images, texts, etc.), which are used often. This library is independent of a given questionnaire.
You can create, copy, cut and paste the objects of your standard questionnaire into the library and vice-versa.
When are e-mails sent ?
If you opt for automatic sending, your e-mails will be sent between 5 a.m. and 12 p.m. on the date you will have selected.
If you elect to send your e-mails “manually”, that is to say, by electing to “send an e-mail” in the section “Respondents”, they will be sent immediately to the correspondents you have selected in the treeview.
How can access to a survey be automatically prohibited?
It is sufficient to enter an expiry date in the questionnaire properties.
On that date, access to the questionnaire will be prohibited from midnight (a message will inform the visitor who attempts to access it).
